Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters: As we close out our fiscal year, I am also reflecting on my first six months as the Executive Director of the Ayurvedic Accreditation Commission. It has been a busy period of learning, building, and advancing our mission together. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Review Commissioners, and Candidate and Accredited programs, we have continued to build momentum and made several significant achievements over the past months: We have continued to build our roster of Review Commissioners to nine qualified professionals in addition to our seven board members, who also serve as peer reviewers. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out. We launched our new Review Commissioner training program in both live and asynchronous formats, with live sessions held in March and April. AAC participated in both the CAAM conference in March and NAMA conference in May. Dr. Jim Ventresca, Board president, had the opportunity to facilitate a NAMA pre-conference roundtable. Applications are open for AYT programs to be recognized by AAC for the duration of the two-year bridge program. The brand-new Student Resources page was launched on our website, and the Accreditation FAQs were revised and improved to continue building our library of resources for students and the general public. We published a new Self-Study Guide on the Candidate Resources page of our website to give our program representatives clear, step-by-step support while composing their self study reports. Our strategic Task Force, now in Phase 3, has continued its work developing a timeline and pathway for the organization to gain national, third-party recognition.
Looking Ahead: The Road to National Recognition These achievements also set the stage for our most ambitious chapter yet. In the coming weeks, we will launch the most significant fundraising campaign the organization has ever undertaken. This campaign is truly a defining moment for us. The capital we secure will provide the resources we need to formally pursue national recognition as an accrediting agency. Reaching this milestone will elevate the entire field of Ayurvedic medicine, validate the high standards of our programs, and establish lasting credibility for the students and institutions we serve.
