AAC was proud to attend to the 2025 National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Conference. As always, it was wonderful to connect with the community in person. Our Board President, Dr. Jim Ventresca participated in a special pre-conference event: Smart Steps Toward Licensing and Enhancing Professional Recognition for Ayurveda. The panel discussion, moderated by Dan Seitz, drew a strong turnout and generated lively engagement from both panelists and attendees. The session offered valuable insights into the complex landscape of Ayurvedic licensure in the U.S., and many participants left with a clearer understanding of the challenges ahead, as well as the potential pathways forward.

New Advisory Council Member

We are delighted to welcome Fred Smith to AAC as the newest member of our Advisory Council. Fred is a Professor Emeritus of Sanskrit & Classical Indian Religions at the University of Iowa. He brings a passion for Ayurveda to the position and we look forward to his expertise.

We are delighted to announce that Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) has achieved accredited status. These two programs have the distinction of being the inaugural AAC accredited programs. Accredited programs have demonstrated that they meet or exceed AAC’s rigorous standards and requirements for accreditation.

Council of Schools Meeting Series

We are proud to announce the formation of the AAC Council of Schools. This is an open-door collective for all AAC candidate and accredited program representatives. Program representatives are invited to meet quarterly with members of the AAC leadership team to discuss the accreditation policies and processes, reflect on current curriculum requirements, and share feedback.
