Program News

We are very pleased to announce that the following schools and professional education programs have successfully advanced to candidacy status. Candidacy for Accreditation is granted to programs that have satisfied eligibility requirements and show substantial compliance with the Commission’s accreditation standards and policies at a level that is reasonable for the program’s stage of development.

AAC currently has 14 schools with a total of 26 programs in Candidacy for Accreditation. Bridge program ending

Since September 2022, AAC has maintained a transition period for educational programs formerly recognized by NAMA. This bridge program will conclude at the end of this month.

We are delighted to announce that all eligible programs have transitioned to become candidates for accreditation.

Ayurvedic Medical Education Title Policy Update

The Commission has carefully considered the feedback from the Ayurvedic community regarding the revised title for programs previously known as “Ayurvedic Doctor.” Based on this valuable input, the Commission has selected “Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner” as the new designation. The official policy outlining this change will be published on our website in the coming weeks.
