The Ayurvedic Accreditation Commission accredits Ayurvedic education programs at the Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC), Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP), and Ayurvedic Accreditation Practitioner (AAP) levels. The Commission does NOT have a specific Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy (AYT) accreditation designation.
As of May 2026, AAC has developed a bridge program that accepts applications for AYT programs to be recognized by AAC as they prepare to undertake the accreditation process at the AHC, AP, or AAP level. The bridge program will be active through June 30, 2028. AYT programs must be candidates for accreditation to continue to be listed by AAC after July 1, 2028.
REMINDER: Professional membership designations and certification requirements for individual practitioners are established by the National Ayurvedic Medicine Association (NAMA) and its Certification Board (NAMACB).
