Our goal is simple but transformative:
to achieve formal third-party recognition.
AAC is entering a new stage in its growth. We are preparing for a future in which AAC stands as a nationally-recognized accrediting agency, earning third-party recognition from the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education. In doing so, we will continue shaping the field with integrity, rigor, and a deep respect for both the origin and modern relevance of Ayurvedic medicine.
Today, we operate with a solid foundation, ensuring the continuity of our core mission and reflecting our commitment to long-term financial sustainability. However, to truly scale our impact and provide our accredited programs with the highest level of national credibility, we are launching a $30,000 strategic expansion campaign to achieve national third-party recognition
Pursuing this recognition signals to the wider community—students, schools, and the public—that AAC is an enduring and sustainable organization committed to long-term service. With funding in place, AAC can fully dedicate its energy to building a strong accreditation system, supporting programs with transparency and clarity, and strengthening Ayurveda’s visibility and credibility nationwide..
The Roadmap
The first step in this journey is membership in the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA). ASPA is the only national organization dedicated to assuring the quality of specialized accreditors. It provides a community where accrediting agencies and bodies share best practices and collaborate to improve operations and performance. Joining ASPA is a commitment to the highest "Gold Standard" of peer review. By joining this network, we gain:
Unified National Voice: As part of the only association that solely represents programmatic accrediting bodies, we gain representation on the issues of educational quality facing institutions of higher education, governments, students, and the public.
Best Practices & Quality Improvement: Access to a community of peers and biannual conferences to share strategies, resources, and experience.
Enhanced Institutional Credibility: Our commitment to the ASPA Code of Good Practice signals to our stakeholders and the general public that our processes are transparent, fair, and robust.
2. The second stage of this campaign focuses on resourcing our formal recognition application. These funds will be dedicated to the rigorous administrative and consultative work required to complete a comprehensive initial submission that meets the highest national standards of either CHEA or the Department of Education.
Our Fundraising Goals
Our overall goal of $30,000 allows us to meet the moment and move forward with the recognition process with confidence. It empowers us to steward the growth of Ayurvedic Medicine by establishing the national benchmarks and quality frameworks essential for its long-term success in the U.S. healthcare landscape.

“Accreditation provides a level of assurance to students and the public that an institution meets established quality benchmarks. It builds trust and confidence in the education provided.”
OUR VISION
Accreditation of educational institutions is necessary to maintain and enhance the quality of education, ensure students' trust and encourage continuous improvement, foster global recognition, protect consumers, and promote accountability in the education sector. It serves the interests of students, educators, employers, and society at large. It also contributes to the progression of Ayurvedic medicine licensure in the United States.
